Giti Australian Formula Open - SMSP - 24-26 May 2024 - Kyle Evans Wrap Up

The weekend had it’s up’s and down’s with not the best of luck on our side. Had good pace in practice and losing 1.1 seconds in traffic during the lap in qualifying. Race one was looking racey while lacking top speed managing to finish 2nd. Race two slippery track due to the fog haze, start got too much wheel-spin slotting back into third, catching traffic in bad spots losing time to the leaders managing 3rd place, Race 3 had car problems and had to work out how to drive the car on the warm up lap, lots of trouble getting it off the line and to finish only 4 seconds behind in 4th wasn’t bad given the problem. Without car problem it would of been very competitive in the last race. Two weeks to the next race at The Bend Motorsport Park and very hungry for a win.
