REDCLIFFE racing prodigy Kyle Evans might not be old enough to drive on Queensland roads yet, but that has not stopped him setting a lap record for a 1600cc vehicle. The 14-year-old only obtained his Confederation of Australian Motor Sport licence two months ago, which allows him to compete in car as opposed to go kart. He set the record at Morgan Park Raceway on September 23 during round 4 of the Warwick District Sporting Car Club Queensland Super Sprints Series C Series. He posted the record breaking time of 1 minute and 33.965 seconds on his third lap, shaving 0.279 off the previous best. His next meet will be at round 5 of the series at Morgan Park Raceway, October 26-28 for the State Championship.
